Juxtaposition Between Man and Nature
This series is about the constant destruction of nature and the building of the fake, synthetic and plastic. Man creates "beautiful" creations everyday that they discard in nature, or use to replace nature. The idea behind this series is to put the "beautiful" acrylic paint slabs in nature. Sometimes I hide them and put them next to areas in nature that are similar; like rock or sand. Other times I put them next to their opposite. Each placement is picked purposefully to bring in the viewer; to really engage the viewer to look and see what is beautiful and what is fake.
